In the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) we have no creed, but that doesn’t mean we have no identity. Our identity statement says, “We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's Table as God has welcomed us.” People of faith believe many different things and, unfortunately, we often fight about our differences. Instead of fighting, we agree to disagree and meet one another at this table. As Disciples of Christ, our congregations are mosaics of belief who create a picture of God’s activity in this world that we, as individuals, are too small and too close to see. Despite our differences, we gather around this table every week in recognition that Christ’s love is big enough to include us all and that God’s kingdom is bigger than any of our individual designs or biases. This table is important to us because we experience Jesus Christ here in more ways than we can count. Here are a few of those ways…

Attending worship service on Sunday morning gets my week started out great and with a purpose. I take great joy in service to the members of my church being a deacon. It is an honor to partake of the Lord's Supper. The format of the worship service is similar to the way it was when I was a boy growing up in this church. My parents were faithful members here and I can touch their memories each Sunday. Sometime certain hymns bring back wonderful memories of my parents, Red & Jeane Williams. I also enjoy and take comfort from fellowship with my church family and friends. We are so fortunate to have Rev. Jordan Byrd. He brings insight and clarity to the scriptures in a unique way. I always gain knowledge from his messages and also practicable ways to apply God's Word into everyday life experiences.
