At First Christian Church, we encourage younger children to participate in the order of worship by serving as acolytes. Each Sunday the children who are selected to serve as acolytes light the altar candles at the beginning of the service during the Introit; at the end of the service, they extinguish the candles during the last hymn. Adults are always eager to lend them a helping hand should they need assistance and to praise them for their service. Pictured here are Gavin and Chloe McGuire.

Since I am new to the church it has been a nice time of fellowship with other church members. Jordan makes the class so enjoyable with his enthusiasm while answering our questions. He explains passages in terms that make it easy for us to understand. I am really learning a lot about Bible Stories! I would encourage anyone, who wants to learn more about the Bible to come & join us. You'll be glad you did!
